can someone help me understand why i have no oil pressure all of a sudden, sensor is operational, changed filter thinking possible collapse, i was wrong. after running 10 minutes tops, the valves are dry and making horendous noise, don't think the pump would go with only 62000 miles but not sure. any and all help would be appreciated, hopefully something a hack mechanic can deal with. thanks!

Welcome to the forum!!! That would be my guess, and if it is not the oil pump then you probably have a clogged line somewhere.

Oil pump, clogged oil pick-up tube, Loose\broken oil pick-up tube, plugged oil galleries, No Oil, etc etc. I'd start by checking the oil, then dropping the oil pan and inspecting the oil pick-up tube

btech, let us halfway mech know what you found on you truck. Lost of oil pressure is the fastest way to ruin a engine. lost of coolant is second fastest way to ruin a engine. what caused your problem and was it a easy fix or high dollar fix. Good luck,
