Isn't there a connector to just plug in? The factory wires are grey - Fuel pump + , purple - fuel level +, and both blacks are ground

+The new after market fuel pump comes with a new different style connector you have to cut the old connector off the fuel pump and put the new connector that comes on the fuel pump and the wires on new one are different colors. Is trhere anyone out there who understands what am saying. The new after market fuel pump did not include a wire diagram.

I understand what your saying. If you look at the pump itself, you'll see 2 wires going to it. One is probably gray(+), and the other will be the ground. If you look at the fuel level sender, it will have 2 wires as well, one probably being purple(+), and the other will be ground.
