my99s10 -> smell of burned coolent (5/2/2008 3:37:17 PM)

So about 3weeks had the radiator replaced.  Within these past 3 weeks I started to smell like coolent that was burning and had to refill the coolent twice.  I looked on the ground after driving and before driving and no puddles or obvious leaks I could notice.  Any ideas? Thanks

Well, if its burning, it follows logically that its leaking on the exhaust. Check all around the engine for signs of orangy-red-looking stains to see if you can pinpoint where its coming from.
Also crank up the vehicle and see if you can locate any steam/smoke rising anywhere.

There is also the possibilty of an internal leak and the smell is coming out of the exhaust.

check all your hose clamps one could beloose ,if any hoses were replaced you usally have to check the clamp's a couple timesuntill the hose finally compresses to seal .
