vee -> Astro ** head overhaul-got a confusion here (4/30/2008 2:54:30 PM)

First I want to thank you guys for the help so far, doubt I would be this far along without you. [sm=thanx.gif]
I got the heads and intake back on, worked a bit on it every evening this week after school and work.
I'm at the point of setting the valves and am a little confused.
The harmonic balancer has 2 different marks on it.
When I pulled the distributer I lined it up with the factory slot on the balancer, the one were the rotor was pointing at the position it was suppose to be pointing to and marked the slot on the balancer with some white paint to make sure I got it right when dropping the distributor back in and to set the valves in the right sequence.
My problem is when I have this factory marked slot on the balancer set at top 0, there is another factory slot mark on the balancer at about 3 o'clock, never seen a balancer with 2 slots!
Should I just ignore the 3 o'clock mark?
