I just picked up a 2008 silverado 5.3l i would like some suggestions to the most efficient way to hp gain spending around $1500 any suggestions alon with product names and how they work would be much appreciated thanks

Yup what northey said for that cash.  Sad but 1500 isnt gonna get you much more than that.  Im not sure if there is an aftermarket coil kit for silverados, i was thinking of adding that if anyone knows.

I would suggest going with a K&N Cold Air Intake.  I ususally buy my stuff from www.autopartswarehouse.com.  Just type in the make, model, ect and search under cold air intakes.  I checked into one for you, the K&N 63 Series cold air intake, it will gain you 17.54 Horse Power and some more torque as well as fuel economy.  That one runs about $280.00.  Also, go with a cat-back dual exhaust system.  With these together, you will gain more power and better gas milage.
