Is it possible to bore a 283 to a 350. if not what is the max a 283 can be bored out to.

why not just get a 350 block from somewhere. 350's are all around and very affordable, it doesnt make sense to bore a 283 out.

i would not advise it for the small price of a 350 block ,not to mention the cylinder's will be paper thin ,when you take about 1/8 of a inch out of the bore ,this would truly a grenade motor .

that is true. the most you could bore out a 283 would be 60 over. which would but it at about 300cui. even that is a dangerous thing to do. anymore than that and you are asking for problems
