Hey guys,

I have a 2003 2.2l ecotec cavalier. Ive been having a few issues for it and was wondering if you guys could help me out. When turning medium to sharply and on the gas you hear a strange noise coming from the engine area. My dad seems to think it sounds like a transmission issue. We couldnt figue out how to check it on this engine and my owners manual has seemed to dissappear on me. We did find a red cap down along the drivers side of the engine.. and the fluid was a reddish color like trans fluid.. But you couldn't see any in there, so is that where you add and check the fluid? and does that seem like it could be the problem?

Thanks For the Help

You will have to call the dealership on that one but it wouldn't suprise me if it was. I know on a lot of newer if not all GM's the decided nobody needs to check the tranny fluid anymore and it is set up like a manual transmission with a fill plug. (I think it is supposed to be up to the plug shut off and level (but am not sure).
It could be your half shafts, ball joint, sway bar, or any other part of your suppenssion. If you have a loose caliper they can do that too.
