Stock shelves at Wal-mart?!?  LOL No, not really. I am a professional truck driver. Product relocation engineer just sounds so much better, don't you think? LOL I thought that someone would guess what I was talking about.

Brent,
I am you, plus 30 years or so.
I have been in the HVAC bussiness since 1978 and at the same company.
I started out insulating duct and crawling around under houses and in attics and now I'm the VP of Polar Air and we employ about 50 people.
We now only do commercial work.
My hobby is to buy something perfectly good and tear it apart, most of the time I manage to put it back together in a similar fashion. Did it with my toys as a kid and the toys just keep getting bigger.

Yea sure, it is an interesting job. I only drive about 75 miles from my home terminal delivering goods to many customers who are great. I am what you would call a local P&D driver. P&D = pick-up and deliver. I am home every night with my family and don't have to sleep in the truck. I only go into the US as far as Calais ME to do some pick-ups and then come right back into Canada. I've been driving for about 10 years, and the last 8 with the same company. Our trucks do travel as far as Texas, florida and all throughout the eastern seaboard. Some of you may have seen some of our long haul drivers. Midland Transport. Just 1 accident to speek of and not my fault.

Thats a BIG operation. What do you deal?
Currently our very own Evans Htg. & A/C is the biggest American Standard residential dealer in the region (NC, SC, GA), and #12th largest commercial dealer in the state. We do anything short of cooling towers. Thats pretty respectable considering its a "Mom 'n Pops" business with 5 employess on the payroll.

Pretty cool spectrum of occupations here!!

Right now, I'm a computer geek.  I manage a medium sized network at a biochemical manufacturer.  Before this....an Aerospace Engineer (Electronics).....but don't like doing paperwork enough to be active in that sort of thing....before that - Navy Vet...(Electronic intelligence type)

I'm a project manager at an architecture firm specializing in ADA accessibility (making things easier on handicapped peoples) and I'm working on a masters in structural engineering.

I am a student about to attain a degree in Computer Drafting Technology.  I currently work with a company that designs, drafts, and builds drilling rigs
