yeah.. my line of work is interesting, but people who are clautrophobic and arachniaphobic wouldn't like it too much A lot of crawling under houses!

I'm claustrophobic and arachnaphobic, so NO THANKS!

During the day, I run a MMA training facility, and every night but Tuesday, I play music.

Different kinds actually. To keep the bills paid, I play covers pretty regularly-but not your typical bar music. Stuff like TOOL, NIN, Incubus, A perfect Circle, 10 Years, etc. I'm also recording 4 albums, each with a different sound (solo acoustic guitar, mellow rock, funk, and more).

Sweet. That sounds really cool. I joined a garage band not long ago and they usually play a lot of classic rock. They needed a guitar and backup vocalist and I was the man for the job, so we gigged a few times and that was about it.

Very cool. I have some original music on my website www.dixieduncan.net. I pulled three songs off of 3 different albums I'm working on.

I'll have to dig around and see if I can find a recording of our band...
But anyway, that song is professional grade. You'll go far with music like that!

Euro,

Involuntary means, in my case, that the last position for BK Corporate was only a temporary, contract for hire job... not meant to continue like a permanent position.

I was not entirely serious about "managing my investments".  More like pinching pennies and selling on Craigslist.com since we are on a fixed income now.   St. Louis is not the place for me anymore jobwise.  Could have moved several times out of state but didn't want to go through the stress of that unless I absolutely had to.  Moving comes easier for others but not me, unless we were losing our home or something.  As it is, we have no major expenses except health insurance.

By the way, involuntary retired is not the way I wanted things to be and I am not a happy camper by any means.   I want to be working in my field asap, but at my age in St. Louis the opportunities are slim and none.  But I keep looking and hoping things will change so I can enter the rat race again... hard to believe isn't it?
