Today I was running a power wire for a future subwoofer and had both driver and passenger doors open for a while. I was about half way done running the wire when I heard a chime or click, I thought I pressed my FOB in my pocket which tried to lock or unlock the doors. When I pulled my FOB out of my pocket I tried to use it and nothing was happening. I then thought maybe the computer timed out so I stuck the key in the ignition and started the vehicle. When it started I noticed a flashing yellow light on the dash that said service TPS. When I pressed the information button it told me to reprogram the keyless entry and tire pressure monitors. I called the dealer and advised them of the situation. I then asked if I had the newest update and they ran my VIN and said yes. Does anyone have any idea what the hell happened here. Also I did not hook up the Amp wire, both ends are taped off. Thanks

Wild guess but maybe you were inadvertantly pressing multiple buttons on your key pad while running the wire. If it was in your pocket and you were squating in jeans or somewhat snug fitting pants you could have activated multiple buttons for a period of time and cause a reset on it.

Oh and don't forget the obvious that you may have simply knocked a connection loose somewhere while running the wire, reseat everything in your wiring path (everything you worked around)

Ok the dealer had to replace the RCDLR in the drivers side door. They told me that they had several problems with the module and it is the same one on several different models. I guess it went out by chance or when the computer timed out.
