The cat has to come before the muffler, so if the cat is not between the muffler and where the pipes come together then you will have two cats. RE: 07 4.3L v6 nbs - 4/16/2008 5:35:22 AM    bad2006z71   Posts: 81 Joined: 2/8/2008 Status: offline the cats on my truck are located on each of the exhaust pipes that come out of my stock exhaust manifold before it ties into one pipe. i was told that the factory cats are "highflow" cats vs. the older trucks and not to replace them with highflow cats. anyone know the truth in this? _____________________________ 2006 Chevrolet Silverado Ext.
