Hi everybody!

I'm the owner of a 2001 Malibu. I've been pretty happy with it. Except for brakes I've had little problems.
However time passes and it's got 55k on it so I better get up todate on how to care for it.

chas...

Welcome to the forum!

I have a 2002 malibu company car. What kind of brake probs have you had? The only problems I have noticed on mine is that you can hear the wheel covers rattle when the windows are down. I have about 56k on mine.

Hello EscalonJon

I don't think I've had too many problems really.
At 18k I had to replace the rotors and pads due to the rotors were warped. At that time I also noticed the pad wear was uneven.
I replaced the rotors/pads with a cheaper (Not the OEM bimetal type) type. May not be as quite, but it's dependable.
I can only guess that the original rotor/pad combination isn't a good one. The dealer had to replace the blowermotor resistors before the warranty ran out.
Also at 40k I had a rear wheel cylinder leak.

Hey it rides very nice and starts everytime.

cheers

Hey, man, that's what counts...If it's comfy and dependable, that says a lot!

Good luck, and enjoy the forum.
