this week we just got our 2006 hhr back from a chevy dealer who fixed the stone chipping in front of the rear wheels(known as the impact area) , this would of cost $1,300.00 to $1,000.00 out of my pocket if I had not found the TBS bulletin number on this forum. we had bought the HHR used with 24,000.00 miles on it and did not see the paint chipping during the demo ride. this HHR came from Montana and when the dealer was repairing the paint chipping said the problem had been addressed before, I had to wait a week for rocker clips that were missing and pay $89.00 for them, as the rocker panel on one side had been glued back on. I have now installed mud flaps ($80.00) and as soon as the paint cures am going to install 3-M clear proective tape on the area where chipping occures. good luck to anyone who has to have their HHR fixed for this stone chipping!
