Since the upper ball joint is riveted in whats the best way to get the rivets out? Do I just want to take my angle grinder to them and grind the heads off or do I want to try and drill through the middle or what do I want to do to get the rivets out? Thanks guys.

angle grinder will work fine, grind the heads off, pound the ball joint off, grind off the rest of the rivots sticking out, or punch it through if they aren't too stubborn. If you have access to an oxy\acetylene torch, that is much easier than trying the grind the hell outta the rivots
