I have a 2005 Equinox LT. Today, I started the engine, put it in drive, and my Daytime running light indicator blinked several times and went out. All lights come on when switch is turned to normal operation. At night the lights come on normally when on auto but no lights during the day. I swapped the relay in the engine fuse compartment but no luck. Any suggestions??????? Thanks

Either a problem with the BCM or the light sensor. Do you have automatic windshield wipers too? If they are operating it rules out the BCM.

Not sure what a BCM is, but no automatic wipers and if light sensor, what is there a  way to test it?

it's not the bcm it's the drl resistor very common problem.here is a bulletin

Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) Inoperative (Inspect/Replace DRL Resistor)

Models:
2005-2006 Chevrolet Equinox

2006 Pontiac Torrent

2002-2007 Saturn VUE
Some customers may comment that the daytime running lamps (DRL) are inoperative
The DRL resistor may be cracked and corroded.
Inspect the DRL resistor to determine if the resistor is damaged using the procedure below:
    Verify the condition.
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in SI.
For Chevrolet and Pontiac, loosen the left front corner of the inner wheel liner to front fascia. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement in SI.
Visually inspect the daytime running lamps resistor located on the left front frame rail for cracks and corrosion.
If the resistor is cracked or corroded, replace the resistor. Refer to Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) Resistor Replacement in SI.
If the resistor appears to be good, Do Not proceed to the next step. Refer to Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) Inoperative in SI.

Assemble the new DRL resistor with the new washer and bolt as shown in the graphic above.
Install the DRL resistor to the frame rail.
Tighten the new DRL resistor bolt.
    Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
Connect the DRL electrical connector to the DRL Resistor.
For Chevrolet and Pontiac, install the left front inner wheel liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement in SI.
Verify the operation of the daytime running lamps.  might want to check this first.

The resistor was the culprit. Unscewed from fender frame and fell apart into several pieces. Easy fix once you know what to look for. Thanks again.
