I did a brief search and was unable to find the answer I need. If I've overlooked it, please excuse me.
I have a 2001 1/2 Ton that is giving off a squeel from the very rear of the transmission, where the yoke goes in for the driveshaft.  I've been told by one shop that it must totally be rebuilt to get to a possible bad needle bearing.  My main question is can I get to this bearing myself without taking out the entire transmission and dis-assembling it?  Looking the the rear of the tranny, I can see that there are several bolts that hold on a rear section.  Would it be possible to take just that off and get at the bad bearing?  Any comments and/or instuctions are much appreciated.

Thanks!

Can someone provide me with a breakdown expanded view of the parts at least?  I'm really needing to do something and any info in the right direction would help.  A link to a repair manual that covers this area maybe?
