ORIGINAL: kcb37 Yes I do mean cheap, they may cost a lot from the dealer but that doesn't mean it isn't cheap. Also not every part is made as well as some of the others that come off the same line. I would think that like carpenterbill said if it's not a HD it would probably have smaller brakes, they would wear faster, still something seems like it wasn't made right to me. Other than riding the brakes, a sticky caliper, or cheap parts their should be no reason why they should wear that fast. Dude it's not cheap parts. How many times do I have to keep saying it. I'm sitting here saying the brakes are awsome on the newer silverados 1500s, 2500s, suburbans, tahoes, yukons, escalades. They last a very long time. It's something that has stuck like a frozen caliper, a faulty line, or something like you said but it's not cheap products. HD's run practicly the same stuff. I havn't measured it out and looked up part numbers but they all last a long time.
