I just purchased a 85 chevy c10 2wd w/305. I am woundering, I have read through the repair manual from my local parts store, and I have read about this air injection system, and other sensors and seamingly useless things to me. How much of this junk can I take off this thing and still drive it down the road????? I appreaciate any feedback or response!!!!

if i were you i would find a vacume diagram and reconnect every thing ,you will have to find a factory service manual to get this ,unless there is a routing digram decal under the hood that you can still read .

I purchased this truck, because I got a good deal on it, and the body looked great still. I have now looked closer to the under the hood. The guy I bought this truck from bought it 4 years ago, and isn't mechaniclly inclined to say the least, but anyhow he drove the truck the last four years, with only changing the oil, puting gas in it, and routean maintainance. I drove it how, but as I previously stated, I have now looked closer under the hood. Someone removed the airconditioner pump, removed the air injection pump, and has left most of the air injection pipes on it. But the truck drove home great, not a problem. It's got a 4 barrel carb, but as it seems this answers my question. If it don't have a pump, it can't be air injecting very well. thanx guys BUt I still appreciate any other info I can get on this vehicle, anything.....thankyou

Are you talking about the A.I.R. system on the truck or the EGR system? In my opinion you don't need any of that crap, just tear it out and put in a holley carb, all you need.
