No, it's under the distributor on the 4.3ltr. An auto parts clerk told me to bring mine in and get it tested, showed me the location. She also said the 4.3 is notorious for that.

Man, I hate these Damn computerized Vechile's nowaday's. give me a Carb and a Dist anyday. I can fix them with my eye's closed.
Today's stuff is a Hit and miss. Guess that I will try a New fuel pump. Sure hate to pull that Tank! Wish the old day's could come back when they were on the Timing cover.

You should change your filter anyway and it is a lot easier and less expensive than the pump. Try that first, its a good chance that is it.
