its in ur airbox and slows down flow of air to keep ur car quieter. removing the airbox can give ur car a slightly better sound. im sure it enhances performance somewhat as the airflow has increased and is less restricted

I removed mine today and it was no sunny day at the beach. You have to take the wheel shield inside the wheel well off then take off your headlight to take some bolts off and well then you should be able to get it out. I have a question though, does a lot of water get into the wheel fender that maybe the air cleaner would suck it up?
