Does anybody from the Houston, TX area know anyone that does good A/C work???  I think my compressor is going out and I don't want to take it to a dealer cause they charge out the ass!  I'd appreciate the info.

You can see if there are any Refrigeration places around, they might do it for you. This might be a long shot but you may be able to get it done for free minus parts. Look up UTI or Universal Technical Institute in houston, ask if you can talk to the Climate Control class instructor. In their classes they fix other cars than just the ones provided by the school, they don't charge any labor because its experience for the students. I think this is your best bet.... Good luck with it

That would be cool.  It uses the R12 and I have to convert everything to R134.  I don't even know how expensive that will be.  Oh well, I do plan on keeping it for a while so I'll just have to see.  I'll definitely check that out though.  Thanks
