I have a 93 s-10 with a 2.8 v6 w/tbi and 5sp trans. It will run fine at idle all day if you let it, but as soon as you take off it loses power and starts to stall. The fuel pump was replaced about a 1yr ago. I thought it might be bad gas so I drained the tank and replaced the fuel filter. Put in fresh gas and a gas additive. The spark plugs, plug wires, dist cap and rotor button was replaced about 3 months ago. I have also replaced the ignition coil and the O2 sensor. I'm still having the same problem. When I ran test on the computer it said to replace the o2 sensor. Which I did and it ran fine for half a day and started acting up again. Now when i run a test on the computer it tells me nothing is wrong. I've also tried a second computer and still get the same thing. Not sure what is left. Any suggestions would be very helpful. thank you.

Thank you ddover. I still haven't fixed it yet.

This is what i have done or replaced

Replaced O2 sensor, ingnition coil, TPS, vacuum lines, drained the gas tank, new fuel filter, rotor button, dist cap, plugs, plug wires, reset the timing, and tried another computer.

The truck will set at idle ok. It is when you start to take off it bogs down and starts to stall. Now cold or hot. When I tried the other computer I reset it so if it had any stored codes I would get confussed on which error codes where mine. So now when I run it to get the error codes it doesn't show any. It just flashes code 12 which is diagnostic mode, so it is acting like there is nothing wrong. Could there be something wrong with the tbi or map sensor? I would be very thankful for any input.

Try a search on "s10 fuel pressure", there are some good threads in there that might give you fresh ideas.

Oh and have you changed the fuel pressure regulator? .......or checked the pressure for that matter.

Thanks rabbit0102030 for the advice and no I haven't checked the fuel pressure. The guy I got the truck from said he replaced the fuel pump about 2years ago. I'm going to buy a gas pressure gauge to check it. I'm also think of rebuilding the tbi unit. Again thanks for the comments.
