O.K. Probably a stupid question but I just bought a 2000 Z71, and there is a cord with a 3 prong plug on it that looks the end of an extension cord. What is it for?

Probably an engine block heater.

yup its the block heater so when it gets cool outside u plug it in and then it will start right up
