Yes, plastic will not hold it indefinately, but it hold for quite some time. When I did my test unit I used schedule 40 pvc pipe and four SS plates. I was able to get up 75 psi, way above anything needed, but it lost the most pressure within the first few hours then leveled out after about 18 hours to 50 psi and then stayed there for six days. Durning the six days I noticed that the pressure would actually fluxuate between 50 and 55 depending on warm it was.

And that's why the party balloons have the mylar coating, so they hold it longer.

true that... I was just trying to think of a good way of explaining it...

His PVC container will still hold it as long as he needs it to.

Has anyone got a unit that works yet? I've been reading here and on the web and just cannot find a review that I absolutely trust... I'd love to add this to one of my hoe's. (hopefully both)

northey is still in the build process, so we'll see when he gets it hooked up and gets the bugs worked out.

I'm dieing to hear this is actually a viable solution to improving gas mileage. I have my doubts as it seems way to easy to have been overlooked to the degree it would have been if it works...
