RE: hydrogen

That was the original circuit I was working on. But somewhere after R4 the voltage dropped off to .0002. Which is too low. I will get it working. But I need to figure out what is going on with it.
But the eagle research (first drawing modified) and the second drawing do the same thing. The ER one you are cutting the o2sensor wires feeding them into you circuit and then back out to the ecu. You are just rerouting the O2 wires but you are still just adding a small voltage. You can do that with one wire when you only have to send a signal out.

I could not see spending the $60 for it. Plus I want to learn from what I do.

Actually this is what I ordered, http://stores.homestead.com/hydrogengarage/Detail.bok?no=42 If I ues this one I just won't hook up the MAP adjustment wire, and just use the O2 adjuster.

link will not work 4 me

Its Sku# FMDB at hydrogengarage.com. The title is "Fuel Mixture LED Display Monitor & Box".

Hey, its been a while, how are everyone's projects coming? Im pretty much waiting on two parts so I can finish putting it together.

Just finished reading thru this thread and it's interesting what you guys are trying to do.

Has anyone considered using the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) signal to control the amount of hydrogen admitted to the intake?

northey87 -> RE: hydrogen (4/30/2008 2:37:56 PM)

I have thought about doing that, the pulse modulater I am building has a POT that I need to attach to the throttle to increase the gas output when you step on it. I thought about tapping into the TPS but felt uncomfortable doing that, so I will just use the POT.

EvansBlue -> RE: hydrogen (4/30/2008 2:38:32 PM)

Thats a good idea ^^

I don't think you would need to worry as long as whatever you hooked to the TPS was fairly high impedance so it didn't alter the voltage signal to the computer.

Forgot to mention earlier what most here already know and that is since hydrogen is the smallest atom, it's impossible to completely contain it even in a heavy wall st-st container.  [8|]

Plastic can't hold Hydrogen gas indefinately, no, but it can hold it long enough to introduce it into the engine. Helium is the second smallest atom, yet a balloon can hold about 70% of the helium over the period of a couple of days, and its a lot less dense than PVC.
Not to mention that the hydro atoms are moving faster than the plastic molecules, so just from the state of matter, it makes it harder for it to pass through.
