I own a 1993 S-10...one of the most dependable vehicles I ever owned. It now has 144,000 mi on it, still runs like a top. My problem was I recently had to go out of state, left my truck at long term parking at airport. When I returned everything was fine.
Next day I started truck and immediately noticed heater fan wasnt working, I opened hood to check fluids then noticed smoke comming from cab with unmistakeable smell of burning wire.
On examination of fuses noticed 25 amp heater fuse was blown, replaced it but no heater fan.
Did I destroy heater fan...why, if fuse was blown power was still sent to heater.
Im in the dark on this one.
