I have a 93 S10 which was running just fine. The other night as I was going down the highway, I reached over to turn the heater on. And everything stalled. I lost all power, no lights etc. The starter turns over but it doesn't start. The battery is new and the alternator is good. Battery is down some now but only because I keep trying to start the truck. What could have caused it to lose power like that? Is it the starter or maybe a fuse or what?

Thanks in advance for any help.

more than likely there is a short in the system somewhere. it could be as simple a blown fuse or could be some shorted wires. i would start with checking all the fuses first
