hello, i am new to this forum, and I am here because no one can help me find out what is wrong with my car. i have a 2000 chev tracker and this is what's going on. whenever i sit in a drive through and the car idles for 3-5 minutes. the car will sputter when I drive off as if the gas is not getting through what it needs to get through even with the gas pedal is to the floor, then the vehicle will cut off. the check engine light comes on, and the car will not start up again until it cools down for at least 10-15 minutes. This is like clock work. If i try to start the car during the "cool down time" the car will turn over but the engine will not turn on over to start. there are not clicking sounds. After 10-15 minutes the car will start and the check engine light will go off. i have had a new fuel pump installed 2 weeks ago. i have had a new alternater installed lease than a year ago. i have had a new heating core/ coil (whatever it is called) less than 6 months ago. i have had fuel injectors cleaned less than 1 year ago turn up less than 3 months ago. please help the dealer cannot get it to do what i am saying that it is doing. no mechanic has seen it do what I am saying. it is getting to be very dangerous. is this a common problem in the 2000? dealer says that if there is no code then they cant find the problem. vixendrumr1@yahoo.com
