Hi, I have a 2000 cav. It is starting to have a few issues. At the present time the left head light only works on high beam, no low or drl. I have looked at wires and replaced the bulb. I do get a clicking from the dash and then the wrench turns on in the dash. Any thoughts, or fast cheap repairs? in detail please.Erik

Check the wire loom that runs right behind the bumper there is a splice that corrodes and causes this problem

That's kinda like the same problem I have with my 1996 Chevy Cavalier, but the only difference is, the day time running lights work off the high beams, and the LF high beam doesn't work, and the running lights don't come on....I have replaced the bulb, tested the wires for power, which I don't have any, and even tore into the wiring TWICE, and didn't find any broken wires, no broken splices...everything is hooked up, and I tested for power, and it looks like every splice has power. I haven't been able to figure that one out.
