i have a 2006 crewcab 1500 z71.. was wondering if anyone has heard the jl audio stealth box built for this truck and how would you rate it?  i am considering this.

JL audio makes good quality high end subs, Im not sure which model they put into their stealth box. Their low end subs are average quality, so your just paying for the name. Find out what sub is in the box, and how much your going to pay for the sub and box combo, and ill tell you if I think its a good deal. Also, is the box sealed or ported? What type of music are you going to be listening to? Makes a big diffrence.

Also, what size is the sub and is it a DVC or SVC. What OHM are you going to buy. Whats the RMS power rating on the sub. What type of amp do you plan on hooking it up to? Class A/B or D? I can make several reccommendations on better choices for your truck, relativley low cost, if the JL doesnt pan out.

Jl stealth boxes are purchased as a package, box AND sub. also there are two boxes for your veicle. one is behind the seat, it holds two 10w1s and can handle 600watts continuously in either 4 or 8 ohm loads. the second replaces your center console (if you have one) and contains 1 1ow3v2 which handles 500watts continously in a 4 ohm load. i have installed both and they both have an amazing sound. they sound great and if mached with a JL amp they are LOUD (without sacrificing SQ. I would highly recommend them. Jl does cost a little more but you will not be dissapointed, you are not paying for a name, but for a great sounding system
