I have a 94 half ton two wheel drive. The trans works fine at first. I can drive across town and back. But if I try to get in it again then it won't go anywhere in drive. It will reverse fine, but nothing forward. Does it need rebuilt or is something else possibly wrong?

After  searching and talking to local junk yards it is another bad 4L60E. I have learned these are prone to a seal going bad then cluthes getting burned. Many recomend an aftemarket cooler on these for a longer life. I found a used reman. that has 46,000 miles on it that I plan on putting in it later today. After I took the old one out I seen the fuel lines all need replaced. The brake lines have been replace. With the trans out it should be esasier to get to all the rotted lines.
