i got a 1984 cmaro, and started hearing knocking in motor, i thought it was loose lifters, but lifters are torqed properly, and still hearing knocking, what should i do?

Check your valve clearance, if its not that, a severe piston slap could be the cause. Piston slap is a condition described as worn pistons and/or worn cylinder walls. The piston s develop loose motion inside the cylinder bore, thus the slapping/knocking noise. If that is the case, you will need replace it and hone the cylinder wall.

i believe that either my lifters are no good, or i may have threw a rod. what u think

You need to determine if the noise is from the top of the engine or the bottom. If its the bottom i would think its a crank or rod bearing. If the noise is from the top it may be the lifters, which would sound like a tapping noise.
