advise needed - 2/22/2008 4:29:10 AM    the_thunder08   Posts: 5 Joined: 2/21/2008 Status: offline Hello, I have had a 1984 305 given to me. I would like to put it in my 94 c/k1500 that currently has a well worn 4.3. My question or should I say questions are. What will I need to do to make this engine run with the tbi setup? I dont wanna get a different trans or switch to carb. Could I have the heads modified in a way that the tbi manifold will fit. Any help or advise I can get would be great and thanks. I know I will need an ecu for the 305. I want to keep the 4l60e tranny that I have and just put in the v-8. I was just trying to see if anyone one here has done so before. I know the 305 is no power house but compared to my 4.3 its got to be better. (in reply to ehhget) Post #: 3

RE: advise needed - 4/19/2008 1:35:15 PM    javelin350   Posts: 10 Joined: 4/19/2008 Status: offline I would say all you need is a 305/350 tbi intake and maybe a differant ecm. I ran a 4.3 TB on a 5.7 and it worked fine. If the intake bolts don't line up right just make them a little bigger with a drill.  I used 1987 CENTER bolt heads on a older style edlebrock intake and that's what i did (in reply to ehhget) Post #: 5
