1998 Suburban starting problem - 8/15/2006 9:10:07 AM    Benrock05201   Posts: 4 Joined: 8/15/2006 Status: offline I just bought a 1998 Suburban and I'm having a starting problem. I turn the key nothing happens. If I move the shifter to neutral I still get nothing. But if I rock it and play with the shifter enough I can get it to start sometimes. Can anyone help me out? TIA. I replaced the park/neutral switch last nite to no avail. It still won't start. Could the starter be getting hung up on the torque convertor? I have no key problems the car just won't crank. I have tried the park/neutral switch ( both replacement and adjustment), starter relay, checked ignition switch wiring, checked all the fuses that relate to the engine cranking. I am going to try the starter tonite unless someone has any other suggestions.
