Hello all. I am looking to buy a truck for a daily driver in the future. I am a chevy man and am looking for something that will make decent gas milage and be able to pull a small boat. I am interested in the Colorado crew cab Z71, 2WD. Can you guys tell me how these trucks perform? Also looking for comfort for a 6ft guy. I am curious on the pros and cons of this vehicle cause i need reliability as well. Lata!

I got a 4x4 Crew Cab with the 3.5L for my wife and it can launch my old 25 wellcraft easy on a dirt ramp. The seat will fit a 6' man but i find there is a little bit of reach for the steering wheel if you dont have your seat back straight up. I get almost the same gas mileage from my single cab 2wd 5.3 silverado as her 4wd 3.5 Crew Cab Calorado mostly because the Strait 5 runs about a 1000 rpm more at 40-50mph than my v8 and its 4wd. It has a nice ride and she likes it because it narrow and easier to park with tight parking.

First post hello forum

First off I love Chevies

Just to confirm you can get a Colorado crew cab Z71 off road in 2wd? My wife and I love that Sunburst Orange.

Reason I ask this went to my local dealer since I wished to purchase an Extreme version and also found out the ZQ8 package too for some reason in the infinite wizdom of Chevy they think 4 colors designed for youngsters are your only choices.

Wimpy white avoid the puddles, Brilliant black 6 hours cleaning 10 minutes to get dirty again, Lemon yellow hey officer I am over here and of coarse Arrest me red please officer pull me over,

They are really missing the boat not making available the entire color line even if it is a special order item. I mean there hoping for a 15% percent sales in the line for this model. Something they really should address.

Thank again to all

Its a 2wd with the Z71 suspension. It is the same suspension as the 4wd. There is no indication of "off road" however.

Cool  sorry about the off road part I always equated the Z71 to more of an off road style suspension.

Thanks
