Hey i dont know if this is a common problem among the Venture/Montana's but I have a friend who has a 2000 Pontiac Montana and the tail lights and turn signal have a slight problem and here it is.... when u turn on the drive side turn signal... both of them go on and the driver side tail light goes out if you hit the brakes while the turn signal is on...and when u hit the brakes i can see the driver side turn signal turn on just ever so slighty... what could be the problem? they said that its happened ever since like 2002 or so.

Well it would probably be a start by disconnecting the trailer harness to see if that's causing the problem.

GM has had major problems with this, there is a "Technical Service Bulletin" (TSB) on this at the dealership. Involves replacing one or both rear taillights if bad and fixing grounding wire on drivers side near the rear of van. This involved Chevy ventures from at least '98 on. Good Luck.
