hi, i have a problem with my s10 blazer.. it is shaking when it get to about 20mph and get worst as you speed up!! i checked the wheel bearings, brakes and rotors, harmonic balancer, and changed the clutch fan.. but everything but the clutch fan( i replaced it) checked out.. now i am thinking that it might be the torque converter!!! so i wanted to see if anybody had any ideas what it might be or tell me that i am right on the torque converter... thanks for any info you can give me!!!!!

You also posted this in general tech.... Check your tire balance and roundness first.

i owned a 88 s10 blazer too, and it would start to shake around 55mph stop then start again around 60mph. i asked around and someone told me to replace the u-joint on the drive shaft. so i did that, went to test it and it still did it. i asked my dad about it and he had no idea. about 2 days later he calls. he told me to drive the blazer and when it would start to shake press the brake but still give it gas. i tryed that out and the shaking did stop when pressing the brake. i called him back to ask what was going on he told me that it was the transmission going out. not sure if thats the same problem you have or not i just wanted to throw out some more options for you.

It sounds like something is out of balance or out of round. check your u-joints, see if any weights have fallen off of the driveshaft, possibly a bent drive axle,(ever sideswipe a curb in the winter?), maybe a loose front end???....just a few thoughts
