Hi. My seat recline adjuster broke off on my 60/40 bench on the drivers side. The dealer told me this was a problem with all trucks in my year range, and GM designed a new assembly to replace it, but didnt recall it because there were no safety issues. Since I refuse to pay the dealer $200 for a new assembly, i was wondering if any of you guys had seen this and come up with a way to fix this without buying the replacement part, maybe not perfect, but so it workssemi normal. I lso checked the major parts stores, and they have the saame part as the dealers. any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
