Hi there, I just had the following happen on my 3000-mile 2008 Tahoe: while driving back home suddenly all gauges dropped to zero (including speedo and tach) for 2 or 3 seconds and then back on... Then on the rest of the trip (1 hour) everything was fine... Any ideas why this hapened??? Thanks a lot for any help.

May be a loose wire or something going to a fuse, or it could be that you blew a fuse and it reverted to backup.

A similar thing happened with our 2002 Suburban last week, I went to the fuse box and made sure all fuses were sitting tight. I went back and turned on the car and everything was fine. Hopefully, you will be as lucky by trying this.

I'm pretty sure only the space shuttle model of the Tahoe has backup systems
