2002 Tahoe, about 125,000 miles. When first started in the morning, it is very hard to turn the wheel when backing out of the drive. After I straighten the truck otu in the road it loosens up and works fine. I'm leaning toward a problem with the power steering but I'm not sure, or really that smart. Any help or opinions about what to look at would be appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the Tahoe forum. Hopefully someone will weigh in with some ideas.

Replacing the power steering flow control valve with P/N 26095470 may improve this. The other solution is to replace the Saginaw 670 steering box with the 680 series box but this is expensive.
