I have a 2000 Cavalier with 150k miles. Its a 2.2 Liter engine and it will not start at all. I was driving on the highway and all of a sudden the engine just stopped, couldnt accelerate at all the lights were working so it couldnt have been the battery. A road ranger came by to help and unscrewed the intake and sprayed something in it and the car started for a min or so and died out again and he also rearranged the relays. A week or so before that I completly ran out of gas. People have been telling me that its the fuel pump but I hear it a little when I turn the key. The filter was replaced a little after that.

What I really want to know if there could be something else wrong with it besides the pump?

PLEASE HELP!!!
