Though a long story a friend of mine ended up with a Monte Carlo (not sure if it is titled) He is willing to give it to me after he checks out to see if he can get the title transfered over to me.

The biggest problem with it is the front end, drives side is smashed to hell. The shoulder to the frame (Front passenger side) is gone the hood needs to be replaced the front end and the drive side fender I will also need  new head lamps for the drive side. I also have to figure out why I can't get the key to turn in the ignition. I was told however that the car runs perfectly but I'm not sure what model/engine it is. I was looking at it around midnight after we had cleared two bottles of whiskey... So the only thing I remember about the block is that it's a 4.3 liter engine.

I'm wondering if this is worth even attempting or is this to much of a money pit, we are unsure of the crash that this car went through was reports (for insurance reasons) so I'm not to sure if the insurance will be high or not.

I also wouldn't know where to look for these parts any suggestions would be great, because I would love to have this car but again, if it's going to be a money pit then I'm not going to even try this.

Any ideas? I will be getting some pictures later.*

Older vehicles are a money pit. I always enjoy working on them.

Have you looked at some of the other sites? There is (montecarloss.com) and ( chevythunder.com). Even if you don't own a monte carlo ss, the information would still apply to a lot of chevy vehicles.
