Hi,
I have a Chevy Blazer year 2000 UK car, not sure if it is called something else in the US.

Anyway I've got a problem with it and came accross this forum whilst searching the net.

My problem is that my hazard warning switch is faulty, it is the actual IC on the switch that is faulty, I'm guesing thay cost a couple of pence but I am being quoted over £100 for the hazard switch.

Does anybody know where I can source this switch or preferably where I can get the IC from, the part number on the IC is U6043B.

Any help is really appreciated and it sreally nice to meet you all.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum!
Its a Blazer over here too. The only Blazer line that was not a "Blazer" was the Chevy Executive which is only in Brazil.
Most of the U6043B ICs are made by Amtel. I'm not sure where you could get that. The reason the switch is so expensive is because its the whole signal/wiper/hazard/cruise switch assembly.
The cheapest you can find it is around $100-$130 (£51-64) http://www.google.com/products?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4RNWE_en___US208&q=2000+blazer+signal+switch&um=1

If you go to www.blazerforum.com and check the for sale classifieds, you can find a lot of blazers that pepole are parting out...

Welcome to the Chevrolet forum.  Here's link for the IC: http://u6043b.chinaicmart.com/

Here's another: http://parts.digikey.com/1/parts/574604-ic-flasher-18m-ohm-shunt-8-soic-u6043b-mfpg3y.html

Found these by googling on your P/N.  Good luck.
