I've been using Mobil 1 since I bought my '07 last August. Wal-Mart always seems to have the better deals in town. The auto-parts stores sell the 4qt bottle for almost as much as Wally World sells the 5qt. So I bought two 5qt bottles and then use the extra for my next oil changes (@ 6qts each fill up, it should last 5 oil changes). FYI, I buy the Truck/SUV formula (also synthetic). It's probably more of a gimmick, but I did look up the specs online and it shows subtle differences between the regular Mobil 1 and the Mobil 1 Truck/SUV..... so I bit. As for HP/TQ/fuel gains....I don't know, maybe, but it gives me a little more peace of mind than anything.

Even though synthetic oil provides slight (negligible) performance gains it is primarily for the reason listed above that I use Mobil 1 and recommend it. The biggest benefit that an average consumer may notice is enhanced engine longevity and piece of mind knowing that you have the highest quality lubricant available in your oil pan.

I only have a minute so i am going to ask this question rather than search. I cant recall if it was a Dodge or my 07 tahoe i heard this on. I have yet to change the oil in my 07 tahoe. I will be doing so tomorrow. Is there one or two drain plugs? I read either on the dodge or this forum that one of the vehicles had 2. Thanks in advance.

Performed the first oil change today for the first time on the Hoe. No issues. However, the filter is a bit hard to get a hold of. I also wasnt sure how tight to tighten it. I hope I didnt over do it! Other than that everything went well and I am glad to have Mobil 1 in her.

Should have used an AC filter. It says on the package how tite. Something like 1 3/4 turns after gasket contact. Hope you put oil on the gasket.
