me and my boyfriend were thinking about swapping motors from his sunfire ( aka sunvalier) would fit into my 96 cavi. the sunfire motor is a 2.8L and my motor is a 2.2L is there any big difference?

i don't remember any 2.8l v6 engines put in any of these cars since 1989. maybe you mean 2.4

his car is a sunfire and he said it was a 2.8L thats all i know i just recently started working on cars so i'm kinda new

wat year is his sunfire? I've only heard of them havinf 2.2 n 2.4 motors cuz their basically cavaliers witha different body.

it cant be a 2.8, its either a 2.2 or 2.4...if it were a 2.8 then cavaliers would have that same option for engine size.
