I have a 2002 trailblazer LTZ, and i have a question regarding the pcv sys. The first question does it have one? because I can't find one. My engine was blowing oil all over the enging compartment, draining approximately 3 to 4 quarts of oil before I found it. I was told to check my PCV hose for freezing, which would cause too much pressure, causing oil to blow out. Has anyone heard of this happening?

From the service manual: Crankcase Ventilation System Description A closed crankcase ventilation system is used in order to provide a more complete scavenging of crankcase vapors. Fresh air from the throttle body is supplied to the crankcase, mixed with blow-by gases, and then passed through a crankcase ventilation pipe/passage into the intake manifold. Results of Incorrect Operation A plugged PCV Pipe/passage way may cause: Rough idle Stalling or slow idle speed Oil leaks Sludge in engine
