i remember when my dad's friend tommy had a 4 speed manual 79 corvette.  black with the red interior.  my dad hadn't driven stick in quite some time and we took tommy's car out for a ride.  my street is hilly and we drove it up to the top.  as my pops tried to make a left and take me out for the ride of my life, he inadvertently popped the clutch sending us into a spin.  we did three 360's before coming to a stop in the exact opposite direction we started in.  dad put it in neutral and let the thing idle back down the hill and parked it in front of the house.  at eight years old, he told me never to mention any word of what happened.  my dad died about seven years ago and i never broke my word.  tommy never found out, but what a ride!!!

Great story.  Sorry about your loss.
