engine running rough

ussva -> engine running rough (1/8/2008 2:33:30 PM)

I have a K2500 suburban with a 7.4 liter engine.  I initially thought I pumped some gas with water in it, (small town above ground tank) I added gas antifreeze and some fuel injector cleaner but nothing changed. I checked my plugs, they were ok, still gapped at .060, changed my air filter but still no change. There is no "check engine" warning light and sometimes it is slow to start, like it's not getting fuel? Any ideas?

Fuel filter?
Fuel pressure regulator?
Dirty Injectors?

Bought a fuel filter, haven't changed it yet, might be that?

Fuel filter is the #1 cause.

Don't have a repair manual, is the fuel filter located on the frame close to the gas tank?

Inside frame rail under driver door.

Thanks for the info, I'll try the fuel filter, hopefully that works. Keep you posted.

Dump about six 12oz bottles of Techron fuel system cleaner in a full tank of fuel and run it until it is close to empty before refueling while you're at it, it'll make it feel like a new engine.

I'll try that, thought of taking it to the local chevy dealer for a diagnostic but, labor and other charges! Thanks again.
