I just bought a 97 cavalier and I am going to change the oil in it but I can't find the oil filter its the 2.2L can anyone tell me where it is at? I havn't jacked the car up (I normally don't for an oil change) but I think I might need to. any help would be great.

The oil filter is located on the backside of the engine, passenger side, right above the tranny, and/or next to the power steering pump. Sometimes you can get to it by reaching between the tranny and subframe, but most times you have to get to it from the passenger side suspension.
