We purchased a new 06 Malibu Maxx recently, love the car, except for the hub caps. They are the chrome plastic ones. We noticed they rattle going over bumps, tracks etc.. I checked the plastic lug caps that hold the hub cap on, they were loose. Tightened them several times, they continue to come loose. Finally went to the GM Dealer, the car only has 1100 miles. The dealer could not find a solution and recommened contacting GM. They did agree there's a problem. I contacted GM, who had me take the car back to the dealer. That did not help. GM finally told me there was nothing they could do???????????????? Anyone have a solution?

my 02 malibu does the same thing it drove me f&$$ing nuts untill i took them off and pitched them in the dump.

My 02 Malibu company car does the same thing...you can't hear it with the windows up, but roll them down and the hubcaps rattle at any tiny bump in the road. If the car were mine, I would throw the caps away, too.
